In May 2025, the Higher Education Digital Intelligence Evaluation Research Center released the National University Student Competition Index for Regular Institutions of Higher Education (2025 Edition). Shenzhen University (SZU) was awarded Grade A+, the highest rating, in the national competition index for art and design disciplines! Only 11 universities across the country received this prestigious honor, and SZU is the sole selected university in South China. This achievement reflects the top-tier disciplinary strength and national leading position of the university, as well as the remarkable effectiveness of its innovative and entrepreneurial talent cultivation and the forward-looking layout of undergraduate teaching reform.
The evaluation system of this index is scientific and rigorous, covering 13 years of data (2012-2024) and incorporating 14 national-level authoritative competitions. Standing out from 536 shortlisted universities, SZU climbed to the highest grade. This accomplishment is not only the result of the long-term efforts of teachers and students in the Division of Arts, but also a manifestation of the university’s emphasis on cultivating top-notch innovative talents, deepening teaching reform, and making forward-looking disciplinary layouts.
Securing the Grade A+ rating this time is a landmark achievement for our university in the journey of cultivating top-notch innovative talents and advancing undergraduate teaching reform. It embodies the dedication and wisdom of all teachers, students in the Division of Arts, and relevant supporters. Taking this as an opportunity, we will continue to deepen reforms, improve quality, cultivate more outstanding innovative and entrepreneurial talents for national strategies and regional development, and create new glory for SZU's art education!
