Good News! Shenzhen University Wins 53 National Awards at the 9th Milan Design Week – Excellent Works Exhibition by Teachers and Students of Chinese Universities’ Design Disciplines

Recently, the national finals of the 9th Milan Design Week – Excellent Works Exhibition by Teachers and Students of Chinese Universities’ Design Disciplines drew to a successful close. With a grand scale, this year’s competition attracted 1,795 universities nationwide and collected over 270,000 entries in total.
Students from Shenzhen University stood out from the fierce competition with their outstanding professional competence and innovative practical ability, winning 53 national-level awards in total, including 8 first prizes, 17 second prizes and 28 third prizes. Among these awards, the College of Fine Arts and Design of the Division of Arts claimed 49, while the College of Architecture and Urban Planning secured 4. Both the quantity and quality of the awards have achieved a marked improvement compared with previous editions. Shenzhen University was also honored with the Excellent Organization Award, which fully demonstrates the comprehensive strength of the university’s design disciplines and the remarkable effectiveness of its talent cultivation.
As a key competition included in the National University Subject Competition Rankings, the Milan Design Week – Excellent Works Exhibition by Teachers and Students of Chinese Universities’ Design Disciplines has been listed as a Category II competition in the Undergraduate Subject Competition List of Shenzhen University. This event has built a high-level academic exchange platform for teachers and students of design disciplines in universities at home and abroad, effectively promoted the sharing of teaching achievements and the collision of innovative practices, and is of great significance for advancing the development of higher art education.
