Mr. Guntram Kaiser, Director of the Germany-China Exchange Association of Hamburg, Visits Division of Arts, Shenzhen University

To deepen international exchanges in art education and expand the international cooperation network of the Division of Arts, Shenzhen University (SZU), Mr. Guntram Kaiser, Director of the Germany-China Exchange Association of Hamburg, Germany, paid a visit to the Division for academic exchanges and discussions.

Zeng Sa, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of SZU; Li Qiong, Associate Dean of the School of Music and Dance, Division of Arts; and Yang Yifan, Program Manager of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, attended the meeting. The event was hosted by Wang Lulu, Dean of the School of Music and Dance, Division of Arts.
At the opening of the meeting, Dean Wang Lulu extended a warm welcome to Mr. Guntram Kaiser. Together with Associate Dean Li Qiong, she gave a systematic briefing on the overall development of the School of Music and Dance, covering aspects such as the school’s development history, faculty structure, disciplinary features, talent cultivation mechanisms, and representative achievements in artistic creation, performances and exhibitions in recent years. They emphasized that the school has always adhered to the philosophy of open education, prioritized broadening students’ international horizons, and actively built cross-cultural exchange platforms. Therefore, it attaches great importance to collaborative interactions with world-class art institutions in Germany and other countries. The presence of Deputy Director Zeng Sa also demonstrated the university’s high recognition and strong support for this exchange activity from an institutional perspective.
Subsequently, on behalf of the Germany-China Exchange Association, Mr. Guntram Kaiser gave a detailed introduction to the educational traditions and distinctive features of the University of Music and Theatre Rostock, Germany. He elaborated on the university’s profound heritage in music and theatre, its educational philosophy, and its prominent standing in the performing arts field. Additionally, he highlighted its curriculum system, faculty deployment, and the talent cultivation model that focuses on nurturing students’ artistic individuality and professional competence.
During the exchange and discussion session, the two sides conducted constructive dialogues on potential cooperation directions, with a focus on topics including faculty and student exchange programs, collaborative artistic practices, and the sharing of academic resources.
The meeting proceeded smoothly in an open and friendly atmosphere. Both parties enhanced their understanding of each other’s educational philosophies and disciplinary strengths, and reached preliminary consensus on cooperation in multiple areas such as faculty-student exchanges, collaborative artistic practices, and academic research. At the conclusion of the meeting, all participants took a group photo, marking the successful conclusion of this exchange activity.
