On May 23, 2024, the Shenzhen University Design Discipline Faculty and Student Achievement Exhibition made a splendid appearance at Pavilion 16 of the 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair, leading the exploration of the profound integration of design and technology, art, under the theme "Design Empowerment, Art and Science in Full Spectrum". This year's Cultural Expo Pavilion 16 focuses on innovation and development in the fields of art, design, and education industry, providing new ideas and content for the organic integration of art and design, and comprehensively constructing an open, professional, and cooperative platform for art, design, and education exchange.

The Division of Arts at Shenzhen University has been committed to cultivating design talents with international vision and innovative capabilities, exploring the diversity and interdisciplinary integration of design. The exhibition brought together various aspects such as public art, art and technology, intangible cultural heritage inheritance and innovation, innovative talent cultivation, and social design services, comprehensively showcasing the fruitful achievements and teaching characteristics of teachers and students in the field of design.

At the exhibition site, the audience was attracted by the creativity and practicality of the design works. From interactive art installations to the cross-border integration of technology and art, each content segment demonstrated the diverse expression and extension of design. Exhibiting authors also shared their design concepts and creative experiences with the audience, sparking lively discussions and exchanges.

On the opening day of the exhibition, Zhang Jianbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Division of Arts at Shenzhen University, Chen Xiangbing, Deputy Director of the Division of Arts and Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design, and He Qinyang, Deputy Director of the Division of Arts, came to the scene to exchange ideas with students and teachers and provide guidance. At the same time, they also had in-depth discussions with enterprise representatives present at the event on the prospects for the development of cultural and creative industries and cooperation opportunities, promoting further deepening of university-enterprise cooperation.

The team's work "Dragon Elephant" by Li Xiangqun, from the perspective of the masses, with a mech-like appearance, has created a vibrant and dynamic youth "dragon" image. It is trendy and fashionable, tall and robust, symbolizing freedom and power, breaking through the traditional imagination and cognition of the "dragon" in Chinese culture, reflecting the spirit of confidence, independence, innovation, and enterprising in the new era.

Li Xiangqun's work "G String" is named after the musical note, the aria on the G string (Bach), rotating with strength and on the stage of life, the rotation of the discus is like the rotation of the dance on the stage. She is the note of life, never stopping, and also embodies the vitality of life.

Li Xiangqun's work "Running" depicts a young athlete, a young person running at full speed. As a runner, he has been moving forward towards the goal in his heart, just like the young city of Dongguan, different acceleration running, bravely chasing, surpassing the limit, and surpassing oneself!
