On the afternoon of September 19, 2023, a delegation from the School of Music at Cardiff University visited the Division of Arts at Shenzhen University. A project exchange meeting was held in Room 1029 of the Zhiyi Building at Shenzhen University.
The meeting was attended by Liu Kun, Deputy Director of the Division of Arts and Dean of the School of Music and Dance; He Qinyang, Deputy Director of the Division of Arts and Head of International Exchange; Zeng Sa, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department; Zhang Tonghuan, Internationalization Supervisor of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department; Yang Ting, Head of the Music Department of the School of Music and Dance; Dong Xinxin, Secretary of International Exchange and faculty at the School of Music and Dance; and some students from the Music Department. They warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and introduced the basic situation of the Music Department of the School of Music and Dance of the Division of Arts.
The Cardiff University delegation included Professor Kenneth Hamilton from the School of Music, Monika Hennemann, International Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and International Director of the School of Music, as well as Cardiff University alumni Liu Chen and Jin Yihan.
The Cardiff University delegation provided a brief introduction to the academic environment and course structure of the School of Music, patiently answered various questions from the students, and discussed with the reception team from the Division of Arts of Shenzhen University the possibilities of conducting joint activities such as seminars or short-term educational programs between the two universities. They had an active discussion on the cooperation of the "4+1" program for graduates of the Music Department of the School of Music and Dance, and looked forward to further deepening exchange and cooperation.
