On the morning of June 12, 2023, a delegation of scholars from leading universities in the creative industries sector in the Netherlands visited the Division of Arts at Shenzhen University. Chen Xiangbing, Deputy Director of Division of Arts and Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design, Deputy Director He Qinyang, Luo Ying, Deputy Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design, Zhang Tonghuan, Director of Internationalization Action of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, and representatives of the faculty of Division of Arts attended the meeting, welcoming the delegation and introducing the basic situation of the School of Fine Arts and Design of Division of Arts.

The Dutch delegation consisted of Dr. Daan van Eijk, Professor of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology, Dr. Peter Joore, Professor of Open Innovation at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, Bart Ashmann, Executive Director of ClickNL (a Dutch government-supported organization promoting knowledge-intensive cooperation in the creative industries), and Monique Knapen, Chief Representative of CreativeNL (a public-private organization supporting cooperation in the creative industries initiated by the Dutch government). The delegation of eight members shared ongoing case studies in circular design practices, exchanging experiences in various fields such as everyday products, environmental construction, fashion, retail, and cultural tourism. They explored the possibility of conducting joint research activities, such as seminars or short-term education projects, between universities. Both parties expressed a keen desire for cooperation and look forward to further deepening exchanges and collaboration.
